I used to use it as kind of a litmus test. If the guy wasn't comfortable walking around and gazing at the animals and talking, then he likely wasn't going to provide any lasting stimulation for me. Of course, as a teenager, I wasn't above continuing to date a couple of them for a while as I looked for someone else. What a nice story. And you can comfortably tell the kids about it. Beats the way I met my husband (pouring beer on him at a fraternity party...almost 21 years ago). The Phoenix Zoo is a great place for date – way to go Scott!
