Pregnancy: 27 weeks
27 weeks today! And it's just all baby, all the time on this blog now, isn't it? Definitely this is a very consuming stage of pregnancy. I'm getting very excited to meet my little guy.
This was one of our weekends sans kids, so Scott and I spent some time shopping and putting the finishing touches on Jake's room. Got the bedding into the crib, hung some cute wall hangings, folded little baby clothes and put them away (still have to pull them all out again in a couple months or so and wash them and fold them and put away again, but I don't mind – nesting is no chore.
Entirely unexpected that it would play out this way, but it turns out that Jakey has a fully furnished nursery. There's even a glider rocker! The ONE item from my girls' babyhoods that survived for Jake (mainly because I was a smart mama and picked a non-nursery upholstery, so the glider has long been a fixture in the living room these past 11 years). Still in perfect shape!
Enough of my babbling! Pictures!

Awesome room! I love the colors. The little critters are adorable. What a fun nursery!

That looks fantastic! I love all the wood too – hate a nursery that looks too plasticy. I am just so impressed by how organised you are, our nursery only came together when the little was well and truly here.

Ooh I'm jealous! Those glider rockers are AWESOME! I'm not sure if I'll be able to find one here in Europe… =(

Today, October 09,2007 CPSC came and took my crib for an investigation into this poorly made crib. It is a Wendy Bellissimo Convertable Crib,Made by Basett in China.
This happened September 20, 2007. My wife and I awoke to my baby, 13 months old at 24 lbs, screaming because her hand was being hit from the front rail. It's obvious the hole was drilled to close to the edge. There are stress cracks on 3 top corners of the crib were the bolts enters. This whole crib could have fell apart.
Please check your cribs and call the CPSC if you have this same problem
