I went out of town for a week and thought for sure I would see pics of a homebirth on your blog when I got back! You have incredible inner (and physical) strength. I wish you all the best. Once while perusing the mothering.com boards. I read a post of a woman in your situation, her OB sounded much like yours, she was recommended to have acupuncture or a reflexology visit and she went into labor 12 hours later!
